Fitness Industry Training (FIT) – Part I

Besides settling into the new life in Brisbane… this is what has been keeping me busy 9am – 3pm, Mondays – Wednesdays:

http://www.f-i-t.com.au/ F.I.T. (Fitness Industry Training)

It’s a course I’ve signed up to that will run over about 5 weeks and in the end I’ll get a Certificate III (Gym instructor) and IV to be a Personal Trainer in the end.

While training to be a PT might sound pretty easy, there’s alot of  content in this course that I never really thought we would be learning but I’m quite glad we are as I feel we’re getting real bang for buck and that the FIT guys have high standards in this industry.

Just the past 3 days we’ve covered topics on client screening tests, touched on nutrition, anatomy and more. It’s funny when you think you know, then you learn stuff and realise how much you didn’t know.

The days are pretty info packed and I’d like to break down some of the topics we go over in some future posts and share what I’ve learnt. I’m really enjoying this new direction in life (besides the bung knee).

I reckon if you’re interested in taking a new career path like Personal Training then go for it! BUT make sure that you sign up with guys that teach you quality things, you can go to the site to get an idea of what I’m on about.
